Andrew Sherwood
Conductor Emeritus
Andrew Sherwood has performed in many parts of the world as a conductor and violinist. He is currently guest conductor for Brighton and East Sussex Youth Orchestra and directs Brighton and East Sussex Youth Orchestra String Ensemble. He is also Professor of Violin at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

Making music is a fun and sociable activity. Joining a Music Centre activity gives you the chance to meet, play and perform with other like-minded musicians.

Earn a Digital Badge
Being a dedicated member of an ensemble gives you transferrable skills. If you are age 14 and above you have the opportunity to earn three digital badges to showcase your new skills on your CV.

Apply for an Audition
This ensemble requires an audition to take part, students can apply for an audition at any time however please read about the audition requirements before applying.
Waiting List
If there is not space for a new member to join straight away, the student will be placed on waiting list.
Activity Confirmation
If you are successful in your audition, a member of the Create Music team will be in touch with all the relevant details you need.
Create Music String Ensemble
Please prepare to give a fluent performance of your choice of two contrasting pieces of appropriate difficulty (grade 7 or above). You will be asked to introduce the pieces, including the title and composer. Please prepare two scales (grade 7 or above) of your choosing, please also prepare for sight reading.
The audition will last for approximately 10 minutes.
