Apply for Classical Guitar Explorers Workshop
Once your application is received, your child's place is confirmed. If your chosen activity is currently at capacity your child will be put on a waiting list. A member of the Create Music team will be in touch once a space is available.
An invoice will be sent 4-6 weeks before the course start date. You will receive more detailed course information 2 weeks before the start date.
Meet the Tutors
Maria Gibson
Course Leader
Classical Guitar
Maria studied for a Classical Guitar Degree at Conservatoire of Verona (Italy) and gained her Qualified Teacher Status at Liceo Scientifico Sperimentale of Ivrea. She also has a Music Therapy Diploma from the School of Music Therapy of Castellamonte and a Performance Diploma (Conservatoire of Verona). As well as teaching classical guitar, Maria has been a Primary School Music Coordinator and a Music Therapist Consultant. She also performs with Duo MaLi, the Sussex Guitar Quartet and Duo Armonia.
Mark Smith
Guitar
Mark Smith studied music at the University of Huddersfield and at King's College, London; leading to further studies in early music plucked instruments, such as the Lute, Baroque Guitar and Theorbo. He now combines teaching Guitar with performing in various groups and ensembles in the South East.
