Apply for Debut Rock & Pop
Once your application is received, your child's place is confirmed. If your chosen activity is currently at capacity your child will be put on a waiting list. A member of the Create Music team will be in touch once a space is available.
An invoice will be sent 4-6 weeks before the course start date. You will receive more detailed course information 2 weeks before the start date.

Meet the Tutors
Grant Allardyce
Course Leader
Drum Kit & Percussion
Coming from a musical family, Grant studied jazz at college while playing on the local punk, rock, and folk scene in Northern Ireland. He obtained his BMus in orchestral percussion at University of Ulster. Grant relocated to the South of England in 2000 and started touring throughout Europe and the US. He is Create Music Curriculum Lead for Drums, Percussion and Keyboard.
Chris Webber
Guitar Teacher
Chris studied at BIMM and has been an active member of the Brighton music scene for the past 10 years. He has been a guitar tutor since 2011, joining the Music Service in 2015 and has taught guitar to students of all ages across the county in a number of schools. He specialises in Rock & Pop, often helping to put on band workshops throughout the year.
James Lambeth
Guitar & Ukulele
James is a professional session musician with over 25 years' of experience in teaching, producing, and performing. He has travelled the world playing with and supporting many iconic bands, and artists in the music industry, alongside original bands.
Chris Simmonds
Guitar
After graduating from BIMM, Chris spent ten years working as a freelance musician, touring and recording with a number of high-profile artists. Having played worldwide he then stepped into teaching and is currently Development Manager for Innovation & Engagement, Brighton & Hove Music Centre Manager and curriculum lead for guitar.
