Music Summer School July 2024

Music Summer School 2024 is going to be bigger and better than ever!

IF YOU LIKE MUSIC AND HAVING FUN, THEN SUMMER SCHOOL IS FOR YOU!

Courses are available for a range of instruments/voices, with opportunities for children and young people from year 2 to year 13.

No experience necessary - our Open Access Courses (Let's Sing, Let's Play Ukulele, Samba Band, Garageband and Debut Music Production) require no previous experience – just sign up and come along!

Performance opportunities - there are also great opportunities for children who have been learning an instrument for 1 year or more to play in bands and ensembles for more experienced musicians. Students in our String Workshop, Wind Band Workshop, Summer String Ensemble and Summer Concert Band also get to play a concert in the state-of-the-art Auditorium at Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts.

Tech courses - from Garageband to our specialist Composing and Scoring for Film courses for ages 15-18, we have something for students at all levels.

Welcome to Create Music’s Summer School 2024!

We are pleased introduce the exciting range of courses that make up our programme for 2024. Building on last year’s success we will be offering 37 courses across 5 venues in Brighton & Hove and East Sussex, with engaging music opportunities for children and young people at all ages and stages of learning.

Create Music’s Summer School sees the return of popular courses for young musicians who already learn to play an instrument alongside increased opportunity for children who enjoy making music to come and try something new at one of our many ‘open access’ courses such as Samba Band, Let’s Play Ukulele, GarageBand, Let’s Sing and Debut Music Production course. New for this year is Samba band at Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts, Summer Sinfonia at St Andrew’s Prep and Composing for Music & Film at East Sussex College, Eastbourne.

Summer School is facilitated by our team of experienced Create Music teachers and supervisors, providing a fun and dynamic learning experience where all young musicians are supported and encouraged as they work towards a celebration performance.

We’re looking forward to seeing you at Summer School 2024!
