Meet the Tutors
Matt Neesam
Course Leader
Guitar & Drums / Music Tech
Matt is a drum kit, guitar, and keyboard teacher with Create Music and is also training as a music therapist. He has previously been featured in Total Guitar magazine and performed at many venues from O2 Brixton Academy to Glastonbury Festival. He still regularly gigs around the country and wrote two songs featured on BBC Radio One last year.
Adam Gill-Thomas
Guitar
Adam Gill-Thomas is an Electric, Acoustic and Bass Guitar teacher who mainly specialises in Rock, Pop and other contemporary styles. He studied Popular Music at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, Music Education and Performance at the Hertfordshire College of Music and he has performed as a part of multiple rock bands, jazz groups and within orchestras.
Beth Munroe
Guitar / Music Tech
Beth Munroe is a guitarist, singer and songwriter, with an MA in Songwriting from BIMM, and extensive experience in international touring, music production, performing, collaborating, mixing, and composing music. As a teacher, Beth is extremely passionate about using music as a confidence-building exercise, and creating an environment that is without competition or pressure, and full of compassion and fun.
Chris Simmonds
Guitar
After graduating from BIMM, Chris spent ten years working as a freelance musician, touring and recording with a number of high-profile artists. Having played worldwide he then stepped into teaching and is currently Development Manager for Innovation & Engagement, Brighton & Hove Music Centre Manager and curriculum lead for guitar.
