Performance Opportunities
By playing in an ensemble you have the opportunity to take part in concerts and events throughout the year, earning vital performance experience.

Making Music with Others
Making music is a fun and sociable activity. Joining a Music Centre activity gives you the chance to meet, play and perform with other like-minded musicians.

Virtual Music Centre
As part of your membership you can take part in our online activities under the Virtual Music Centre. This includes Beginner, Intermediate and Grade V Theory.
Sign up for String Club
Once your application has been submitted, you will be emailed regarding course dates and fees provided there is space in the ensemble. If there is not space for a new member to join straight away, the student will be placed on a waiting list. When a space is available, a member of the Create Music team will be in touch with all the relevant details you need.
Meet the Tutors

Daphne Brady
Cello Teacher
Daphne Studied Cello at Trinity College of Music and then completed her PGCE for instrumental teaching before joining Create Music (formerly East Sussex Music). Outside of work, she plays with the Delphinus String Trio and performs in concerts with the Sussex Strings Orchestra.

Susan Moate
Instrumental Teacher - Strings
Susie began Suzuki violin lessons at age four, going on to reach the quarter finals of BBC Young Musician of the Year, and also winning a place in the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, with which she played on television in prom concerts at the Royal Albert Hall. For the last fifteen years Susie has interspersed her performing with teaching as a qualified Suzuki teacher. In additional to classical performance Susie also enjoys jazz and rock improvisation, playing in a range of successful bands across the county and beyond.
