Meet the Tutors
Sally Ann Thorkildsen has a BA [Hons] in Music and is a qualified cello teacher with a PGCE. Whilst living in Italy, she played in orchestras such as Teatro Giglio di Lucca, (Puccini Festival Opera). Sally Ann regularly plays locally in pit orchestras but her greatest love is playing in Opera productions.
Jenny studied Violin and Piano at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She works with Primary and Secondary-age students in East Sussex schools, and enjoys exploring different genres of music on the violin.

Play Well-known tunes
You will have the opportunity to play a selection of well-known tunes suited to the ensemble genre.
By playing in an ensemble you have the opportunity to take part in concerts and events throughout the year, earning vital performance experience.
Making Music with Others
Making music is a fun and sociable activity. Joining a Music Centre activity gives you the chance to meet, play and perform with other like-minded musicians.
Earn a Digital Badge
Being a dedicated member of an ensemble gives you transferrable skills. If you are age 14 and above you have the opportunity to earn three digital badges to showcase your new skills on your CV.

Pupils can apply at any time if they know which Ensemble they wish to join.
Once space is available, a member of the Create Music team will be in touch with all the relevant details you need.
If there is not space for a new member to join straight away, the student will be placed on waiting list.
