Meet the Tutor

Marcus Plant
Marcus has over 25 years’ experience teaching the whole range of brass instruments from beginner upwards and many of his former pupils have gained places at leading music conservatoires. He studied with Jonathan Bailey, Colin Clague (ENO), John Wallace and James Watson at Kingston University and The Royal Academy of Music in London. Marcus and has performed in prestigious venues throughout Europe, Canada and the USA and also on BBC's ‘Top of the Pops’.

You will have the opportunity to play a selection of well-known tunes suited to the ensemble genre.

Performance Opportunities
By playing in an ensemble you have the opportunity to take part in concerts and events throughout the year, earning vital performance experience.

Making Music with Others
Making music is a fun and sociable activity. Joining a Music Centre activity gives you the chance to meet, play and perform with other like-minded musicians.

Virtual Music Centre
As part of your membership you can take part in our online activities under the Virtual Music Centre. This includes Beginner, Intermediate and Grade V Theory.

Pupils can apply at any time if they know which Ensemble they wish to join.
Activity Confirmation
Once space is available, a member of the Create Music team will be in touch with all the relevant details you need.
Waiting List
If there is not space for a new member to join straight away, the student will be placed on waiting list.
