Meet the Tutors
Peter studied at Dartington College of Arts, gained a Music Degree at Huddersfield University and studied at post-graduate level in Advanced Performance at the Royal Academy of Music. He is Director of Create Music’s award winning music hub. As a trumpeter he has performed with world wide ensembles and continues to teach and work with young musicians presently conducting the Brighton & Hove Youth Big Band.
Richard attended Hangleton Junior School where he was inspired by the music teacher to take up the cornet. Following his further education studies at Salford University, Richard performed full-time in London for ten years as a member of the Metropolitan Police Band and freelancing for shows and orchestras. He has been teaching for over 25 years and in 1997 studied for his PGCE at Sussex University.

Earn a Digital Badge
Being a dedicated member of an ensemble gives you transferrable skills. If you are age 14 and above you have the opportunity to earn three digital badges to showcase your new skills on your CV.

This ensemble requires an audition to take part, students can apply for an audition at any time however please read about the audition requirements before applying.
If there is not space for a new member to join straight away, the student will be placed on waiting list.
If you are successful in your audition, a member of the Create Music team will be in touch with all the relevant details you need.
