ORCHESTRA360 WINS AN AWARD

3 Apr 2024

Emma Collins, Deputy Director at Create Music, has received an award for her work with orchestra360 in the Community Category of the annual PaCC Champion Awards, hosted by the Parent Carers Council (PaCC) and Amaze.

The award was voted for by parents/carers who attends orchestra360 with their children. One parent who has been a member of o360 since it began nine years ago said: ‘It has been a real privilege to witness their dedication and support for the young people in their musical journey. Concentration improves, confidence grows, and parents soon find disability and difference is parked at the door. My son has been there from the beginning and the effect on his confidence, musical ability and social interaction has had a knock-on effect in the rest of his life.’

Emma attended the awards ceremony with James Redwood, Artistic Director of o360 and said: ‘It was really lovely to be recognised for orchestra360, which is so close to my heart. I love working with the young musicians at o360 and our brilliant team of music leaders, but I’d also like to thank the parents/carers who give us so much support to enable the work that we do. This award really means a lot as it comes directly from the families that we work with.’
