Apply for Summer String Ensemble
Once your application is received, your child's place is confirmed. If your chosen activity is currently at capacity your child will be put on a waiting list. A member of the Create Music team will be in touch once a space is available.
An invoice will be sent 4-6 weeks before the course start date. You will receive more detailed course information 2 weeks before the start date.

Lisa de Simone
Course Leader
Violin
Lisa studied violin in Italy gaining a MMus at the Conservatoire of Music in Parma and attended an academic Post graduate Chamber Music Master in Sacile (Pordenone) - at "Serenissima Academy" - under the guidance of Maestro Luca Simoncini. Lisa teaches violin in a wide range of settings, from beginner up to advanced level. She is Curriculum Lead for Strings in Brighton & Hove and teaches in several ensembles across the service.
Emily Griffith
Violin
Emily started violin at age 5 and has been playing for over 35 years. She studied primary school teaching and taught in the classroom for 17 years before transitioning to music teaching. Emily now runs her business, Active Hands, alongside her teaching, where she partners with creatives from the community to bring workshops, clubs and events to Children and Young People in Brighton & Hove.
