Rock & Pop Workshop: Eastbourne

For more advanced young musicians to form a band and play live.

Activity Overview

For musicians, Grade 3-5, in year 6 and above, playing guitar, bass, keys, synths, singers, drum, saxophone, trumpet and string players, this course offers an opportunity to form a band and work together on creating music – either by learning a cover or creating their own masterpiece.

Students will experience what it feels like to work together in a band, to collaborate on new material and to experience what it takes to put together a great performance!

Day 1 Students will jam together in the morning to get to know each other and form bands. They will then go to a practice room with their band where they will receive expert coaching from teachers with professional experience and start to write and compose their songs.

Day 2 Bands will work on their set, practicing in their rooms and developing their songs.

Day 3 Bands will play their set in another practice room where constructive feedback will be given, in preparation for the concert for family and friends at 2.45pm

The Rock & Pop courses are popular, and applicants will be placed on a waiting list until there are enough students signed up to create a band, at which time, those students will be moved on to the course and parents/carers contacted to confirm their place. Lists will be monitored regularly and students added each time a new band is viable. So, it is advisable to apply straight away to ensure a place.

If your child plays more than one instrument and would be happy to play either, please do let us know as this helps with planning.

Bursaries are available, please see our Fees page for more information.

Before applying, please read our Terms and Conditions.
