Orchestra 360 (o360 Brighton)

This inclusive, creative music group is for children and young people with special educational needs/disabilities and their parents/carers and siblings in the Brighton Area..

Anyone interested in making music is invited to join us. You do not need any prior experience, although more experienced musicians are also welcome. Members will have the opportunity to try a number of instruments and to choose what they would like to play. Parents/Carers are also invited to come and learn/play alongside their children.

o360 is a course-based music group, with one project taking place each term. Projects are usually 4-6 weeks in length and all build towards a performance. In our first year o360 performed at the Corn Exchange and Brighton Centre.

THE GROUP IS LED BY COMPOSER AND MUSIC LEADER JAMES REDWOOD AND A TEAM OF FRIENDLY AND EXPERIENCED MUSIC LEADERS FROM CREATE MUSIC.

Through the Our Future Music programme we are developing new progression routes for young musicians attending o360, leading to more performance opportunities with other Create Music ensembles, a new group for young musicians aged under 10, skills-development sessions for older musicians and regional progression routes linking with other Music Education Hub partners in the south-east.
