BESYO VISTED BY BPO TRUMPETER

11 Feb 2026

We were excited to have a visit from partners Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra on Friday 9 January at the Brighton & East Sussex Youth Orchestra rehearsals

Trumpet player Aaron Azunda Akugbo, the soloist at Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra's concert at Brighton Dome at the end of January, came to visit the Brighton & East Sussex Youth Orchestra at their rehearsals. He came to play alongside our young brass players in their brass sectionals and to host a question and answer session with the orchestra about his experiences as a young professional musician.

Thank you, Aaron and Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra, for your visit, the orchestra members really enjoyed playing alongside Aaron and hearing about his upbringing and journey as a professional musician.
