Supporting Your Child’s Progress

We aim to help all young musicians to become independently motivated learners as this is the best way of making musical progress.

We do this by setting realistic goals, celebrating progress, and supporting all young musicians to achieve their aspirations.

We encourage parents/carers to support their child’s music making at home.  Our teachers are always happy to discuss your child's progress, or any specific learning needs they may have.  To support your child’s enjoyment, motivations and progress we provide:

  • A creative and progressive curriculum to develop all aspects of musical learning
  • Progress reports each term to celebrate achievements and highlight future learning goals
  • The opportunity, where appropriate, to take external examinations and receive accreditations (additional fees apply)
  • Online resources, advice to support learning between lessons and support for special educational needs.
