Sound Rooms is located at 3 Pelham Terrace, Lewes Road, Brighton, BN2 4AF; next-door to/beneath Student Castle, a new residential development for students.
Sound Rooms is on the opposite side of Lewes Road to the Pavilion Retail Park (which includes B&Q, Aldi, Halfords, Hobbycraft and Costa).
Sound Rooms is well located in respect of sustainable modes of travel, including foot, cycle and public transport. Visitors to Sound Rooms are encouraged to travel by cycle or public transport, wherever possible. Please find more detail on different modes of transport below.
Footways are provided on both sides of Lewes Road, creating a safe pedestrian route towards the centre of Brighton to the south. Approximately 55 metres south of Sound Rooms a signalised pedestrian crossing offers safe access to shops and services on the western side of Lewes Road as well as the northbound bus stops.
Cycleways are provided along both sides of Lewes Road and benefit from grade separated crossings in the vicinity of the site. The route operates between Lewes to the north and central Brighton to the south. Sound Rooms is in close proximity to National Cycle Network route 20 which can be joined via St Peter’s Place approximately 1.7 kilometres south of the site. Route 20 operates between Brighton and Wandsworth.
With regard to cycle parking, there are 4 Sheffield stands and an additional 26 short-stay cycle parking stands to cater for both Student Castle residents and visitors to Sound Rooms.
The nearest bus stops to Sound Rooms are the Coombe Road and Lewes Road Bus Garage stops, which are located immediately west of the building and are served by a total of 13 routes (detailed below) to destinations including the centre of Brighton, Hove, Falmer and Brighton rail station. All of the aforementioned services are operated by the Brighton & Hove Bus and Coach Company. It should also be noted that they all offer wheelchair access.

The nearest rail station is Moulsecoomb station located approximately 800 metres north of Sound Rooms via Lewes Road. The station operates services every 20-30 minutes between Brighton and Eastbourne.
Brighton station is located approximately 2.2 kilometres south west of Sound Rooms and can be accessed via bus services as well as services from Moulsecoomb station. Brighton station benefits from routes to destinations including Bedford, Eastbourne and London Victoria, details of which can be found below.
