Sounds from the City: Next Wave

Join us for an exciting night of new music from the best up-and-coming young musicians in Years 9-13, as Sounds from the City makes its debut in Bexhill!

Create Music's "Sounds from the City" (SFTC) is a platform for young and emerging artists and bands to showcase their talents in a professional music venue, and after years of tremendous success at Brighton Dome, we are excited to announce that, in partnership with De La Warr Pavilion's Talent Accelerator programme, SFTC is coming to Bexhill as "Sounds from the City: Next Wave"

The original 1930's auditorium at the iconic De La Warr Pavilion has shown a variety of  international performing and recording artists such as Goldfrapp, Patti Smith, Elvis Costello, Ray Davies, the Heritage Orchestra, Kiri Te Kanawa, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and (DLWP’s honorary patron) Eddie Izzard. Successful applicants will be able to add their band's name to the list of recent performers such as Sun O))), Feeder. Rufus Wainwright, Bat for Lashes, John Cale, Nick Lowe, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, John Grant, HotWax, Doves and Psychedelic Furs.
