Mimi Haddon is Senior Lecturer in Music at the University of Sussex. She is a musicologist whose research focuses on issues of genre and identity in popular music. She is the author of What is Post-Punk? Genre and Identity in Avant-Garde Popular Music, 1977-82 (University of Michigan Press, 2020) and has recently been working on an AHRC-funded project about women's musical knowledge cultures called Music for Girls.
