Classroom Instrumental Teaching is also available for younger children, with our ‘Ready for School’ and ‘Let’s Make Music’ programmes. These carefully designed programmes offer children in pre-schools, nursery schools and Key Stage 1 the opportunity to experience the excitement of music making alongside their classmates. A variety of programmes are available, tailored to meet the needs of each setting.

Ready 4 School Nursery & Reception

Whole Class Ready 4 School provides Nursery and Reception children with the opportunity to experience the excitement of making music alongside their classmates. The programme helps to develop speech and language through music and is tailored to meet the needs of individual schools. The programme can run across a year with half the sessions taking place in the Nursery phase and half as the children progress into Reception. The children will learn the following musical skills:

  • Performing
  • Working together creatively

The programme is taught by a Create Music specialist instrumental teacher working alongside the class teacher or music co-ordinator and has been evaluated to show the positive impact on the development of speech and language skills. The practical sessions are 30 minutes in duration but can be for longer if required.

Fee: £54 per hour collated
