Adam Bushell
Adam started playing percussion at the age of 7 in his dad's village band, and hasn't looked back since. He studied in Brighton and Newcastle, and has played at venues and festivals around the country from the Albert Hall to Brighton's tiniest pubs. He is an experienced percussion teacher and workshop leader. As well as teaching all ages of students around the county, he coaches percussion with Brighton & East Sussex Youth Orchestra and tutors inclusive ensembles, o360 and Pier One.
Bethan John
Violin & Keyboard Teacher
Bethan studied violin and piano at the Royal College of Music Junior Department, followed by a BMus degree from the University of Birmingham. After postgraduate study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, she worked as a freelance violinist, playing with orchestras in the South-East (including the London Philharmonic Orchestra), alongside instrumental teaching in Tower Hamlets and Surrey. After time spent living abroad and working in administration (developing a love of folk music in her spare time!), Bethan returned to teaching, completing her PGCE in 2012. Following a few years working as a primary classroom teacher, Bethan joined Create Music in 2017, combining instrumental teaching with primary supply teaching. She now enjoys instrumental teaching in schools during the week and particularly enjoys working as a tutor for inclusive ensembles (o360 Brighton / Pier One) on a Saturday.
