We aim to support families to access music lessons by offering:
What happens in a lesson?
Every lesson will be unique, depending on each student’s needs. Once the tutor has got to know your child, and seen what motivates and supports their musical development best, they will create a bespoke routine of learning, in which your child can explore rhythm, instrumental or vocal technique, repertoire, musicianship, and communication skills.
How do we support learners with additional needs?
Create Music teachers can liaise with you, and your pupils’s tutor or key worker in school, to ensure your child's learning and/or communication needs are understood and supported in the lesson. Their Create Music teacher will then personalise your child’s lesson to support their needs, and encourage strengths and interests to grow and develop. Teachers and students can also set goals together, and ensure learning is fun and supports your child’s wellbeing and confidence.
All Create Music tutors work inclusively, and can use a variety of techniques and aids to support learning, such as Figurenotes, Sounds of Intent, iPad apps, and other music games to make learning accessible and creative.
