Open Access courses require no previous experience - just sign up and come along!
Courses start at £39 for a 1-day course and are available for a range of instruments/voices, with opportunities for children and young people from year 2 to year 6.
Our 1-day courses include Sing Together!, One Day One Voice and Samba Band. Our team of experienced Create Music teachers and supervisors will provide a fun and dynamic learning experience where all budding young musicians are supported and encouraged as they work towards a celebration performance for family and friends at the end of the day.
Our 2-day music tech courses include GarageBand, where students will learn about music production techniques and then produce tracks using GarageBand software on iPads, and Debut Music Production, which uses our tech suite at East Sussex College Eastbourne, where students will learn how to program music using a range of effects. On both courses, students will produce a portfolio showcasing their tracks, which we will be copied to a memory stick so you can impress family and friends at home!
New for this year an exciting new 1-day course, "One Day One Voice", designed for children who took part in the One Voice Festival vocal project in December 2025, to take their singing to the next level! Children who enjoy singing in a large group have the opportunity to learn new songs and further develop their vocal technique and musical skills as they come together to form a new group and sing together. Students will explore music in a diverse range of styles and learn to sing in harmony as they prepare for an informal performance on the last day of the course.
